Slow Computer?
Have a computer that takes longer to load a page than it does for you to get a cup of coffee? Here are some steps you can take to try and fix it!
1) Click your start button, go to Accessories, then System Tools.
2) You'll want to run both Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter.
Both of these will take some time (if not hours), depending on if it has ever been run before. I would run each one separately, and wait until you are done for the day. It will significantly slow down your computer while either is running.
3) You can also stop some items that automatically load when you first start your computer. These things really slow down your computer startup time. You can follow the steps in this link to try it out: http://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/
This is a faster thing that you can do anytime. I wouldn't cancel anything involving Smart, Kapersky (your anti-virus), or Windows.
Once again, you are welcome to try this yourself, or I can get it running for you, if you want to use your Chromebook. It may help with the speed, but it won't work miracles, unfortunately. These laptops are old, and they just don't work like they used to. Hopefully this will help though!
